Artisans in the Bolgatanga region of Ghana weave this smaller version of our beautiful and durable bolga basket from thick tough elephant grass. Sold singly in assorted colors and handles. As this is a handcrafted item each will vary slightly in color and shape.
To reshape your tote always use cold water to prevent the dye from running. Wet the item throughly then press and smooth the item to your desired shape. Shake out any excess water and place the item in a warm place to dry. We recommend not placing wet baskets on a surface where dye transfer might occur. This process can be repeated as needed.
